Divisional Information

All baseball programs are heavily dependent on coach volunteers. If you’re interested in helping out, we will happily get you started with your coaching journey!

Tee Ball

Ages: 5U

Born in: 2020-2021

Commitment: 1 night per week - Tuesday or Wednesday evenings at North Pelham Park

Tee Ball (5U) is a great introduction to the fundamentals of throwing, hitting and running the bases. With no scores kept, all athletes enjoy the game in a non-competitive environment and the focus is on fun! Tee-ball introduces being part of a team, listening to coach instruction, and learning about baseball safety. Don't forget to bring your camera!

Equipment Needed: Batting helmet, baseball glove, running shoes, protective cup (optional), bat (optional)

Coach Pitch

Ages: 7U

Born in: 2018-2019

Commitment: 1 night per week - Tuesday or Wednesday evenings at North Pelham Park

Coach pitch  has similar development objectives to tee-ball focusing on throwing, hitting and running but instead of hitting off a tee, coaches pitch to their own team, allowing as much hitting success as possible. Fielders must field and throw back to the coach to stop play. Some talented hitters may hit their first home run at this age, while others will learn quickly how to make contact with a moving pitch. If your child is close to hitting underhand pitches, this is an excellent entry point.

Equipment Needed: Batting helmet, baseball glove, running shoes, protective cup (optional), bat (optional)

Note: 9U and above participate in the Niagara Interlock league. Click here for more information about this league.

Ages: 9U

Born in: 2016-2017

Commitment: 1 practice and 1 game per week (average)

In 9U pitching machines are used to begin each play. Ten fielders are assigned positions each inning but no stolen bases are allowed. This level resembles competitive baseball but with being a team player and having fun as the main objectives. For the first time, athletes may strikeout, games are won and lost and playoff games complete each season.

Equipment Needed: Batting helmet, baseball glove, running shoes or cleats, protective cup (optional), bat (optional)

Ages: 11U

Born in: 2014-2015

Commitment: 1 practice and 1 game per week (average)

The 11U division moves to player pitching.  At this level, developing pitching and catching skills is a big priority.  Runners can now steal bases without lead offs. Scores are kept and standings are tracked.  Playoff games complete each season.
