About Us

History and Affiliations

The Town of Pelham and historical communities of Fonthill, Fenwick, Ridgeville and North Pelham have a vibrant history of baseball that has spanned over 100 years.  The Pelham Minor Baseball Association was incorporated in 2007 with the purpose of further facilitating baseball activities in our community.  We are a small but tight community that are dedicated to providing our youth opportunities to enjoy all of the benefits of the wonderful game of baseball.

  • PMBA is a proud member of the Niagara District Baseball Association (https://ndba.ca/ ) and we are active in the organization of baseball activities within the Niagara region.

  • The PMBA is an associated member of the Ontario Baseball Association (https://www.playoba.ca/ and our rep/select teams participate in baseball activities across the province as well as host tournaments that bring in teams from other centers.

  • The PMBA works very closely with the Town of Pelham (www.pelham.ca) and their various departments in order to successfully manage baseball facilities.

A big thanks to the Town and their employees!

PMBA “Mission”

The PMBA board strives to create an environment of healthy sport in our community that respects all individuals.  We are committed to providing the residents of Pelham a baseball atmosphere that promotes team-work, individual skill development, personal development, safety, and above all FUN!  We actively endeavor to share this commitment with coaches and parents through meetings, training and real-time guidance.  The details of these initiatives can be found on our website and the websites of our affiliated organizations (NDBA, OBA) and include, but are not limited to; privacy of information, concussion protocols (rowans law), safe sport training for coaches, coaching certifications, code of conduct for athletes, umpires, parents and fans, conflict resolution, internal by-laws and constitution, etc.

The mission of the PMBA is primarily executed by a volunteer board of directors composed of Pelham residents, elected by their peers, in an open process for a 1 year term.  The list of board members can be found here (https://www.pmba.ca/executive ).  Thank you to all past board members for their dedication to the development of the PMBA.
